Dr. Katerina Sergi completed a three-week training program from MSU's Center for Teaching and Learning for New Faculty Teaching Academy.
Dr. Mary Read-Wahidi was promoted to associate research professor. Dr. Read-Wahidi co-directs the Gender Impacts Lab at the SSRC.

The Mississippi Alcohol Safety Education Program (MASEP) held its annual training for 2023 at the Mill Conference Center in Starkville on July 21 & 22. There were 46 MASEP facilitators in attendance from across the state. Attendance at this conference is required for all MASEP facilitators 3 out of 5 years in order to maintain their certification to teach the MASEP class. This year's conference included training on Mental Health First Aid, Driver's License Reinstatement, R&D Updates, Motivational Interviewing Techniques, as well as MASEP Operational Updates. A reception followed the training on Friday evening.
